Guided Meditation for Stress Relief – Let your Anxious Mind Relax & Stop Spinning

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” Lao Tzu

I absolutely love this quote and have it by my desk to remind me to slow down when I start getting caught up in worrying about all the “What if’s?” and “What abouts?” with this crazy world we find ourselves in.

Yet the answers we are looking for will never come from over-thinking and over-analyzing.

Nor will they come from over doing. Remember, we live in a culture of Doing over Being, where doing more – better, faster, always, and have it done by yesterday! – is held up as our holy saviour.

Yet just like the beautiful flowers that are finally popping up everywhere, they are doing so, not by pressure, force, grit and speed, but by slow, steady, consistent, little itty bit by bit, allowance.

After a looooong (so so very long if you’re in Ontario, like me!), slow winter of not much ‘happening.’

Slowly, ever so slowly, the flowers emerge.

With practice, we can create the same conditions for emergence of creative solutions, new ideas, fresh answers and, of course, gratitude for everything that is here, instead of chasing around after all that is not; all those what ifs and what abouts that our mind has us focused on.

Hurry Creates Worry

So join me as we practice our practice of slowing down and returning to a place of calm, centered, relaxation.
Meet me in the comments and let me know if you feel more relaxed, less stressed and what emerged for you!

With so much slow and steady love,

Carolyn
