A Guided Meditation for Happiness – How to Cultivate Joy and Bliss Everyday!

I am so happy to be back here on the blog, talking about happiness and bringing you a meditation to help cultivate happiness!

But, how can we talk so freely about happiness when there is just so much suffering and devastation going on in the world right now?

Well, I actually think it’s our duty to focus on our happiness, especially when there is so much bad news and suffering happening around us.

Why?

Because your feeling good does good!

It does good things for you, for the people around you and the people around them.

You feeling good sends magical ripples of goodness out into the world.

That may seem like not much when held up against our every day headline news of war, destruction and despair – but that’s the beautiful thing about magic; it does not have to be big to be effective.

This is why cultivating our own happiness by seeking out the goodness in our subtle everyday moments is something really powerful we can do to offset the bombardment of doom and gloom.

If we are always looking for it, we shall always find it. It’s always right there, right in front of us – the song of a pair of goldfinches; the purring of your cat as it nestles in your lap; your dog so thrilled to see you even though you’ve only been gone for 5 minutes; catching up with that friend you’ve been meaning to catch up with for so long. A perfectly hot but not too hot latte.

If we can find some good ol’ ordinary goodness, and we take just a few more moments than we normally do, and we stay there and we really enter the moment, then every single day, the ordinary has the potential to expand and become extraordinary.

As this whole ‘being a Human on planet Earth’ thing hangs in the balance – isn’t it always, always, the most ordinary things we long for; because they are indeed extraordinary.

“The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green earth, dwelling deeply in the present moment and feeling truly alive.” Thich Nhat Hanh

So please let this meditation help you do just that!

I am so excited to be finally back with you – supporting you with getting out of your messy brain and into your beautiful heart. The world really does need that beautiful heart of yours to shine – I hope this meditation helps you feel the magic of your own heart.

I’ll be back every Monday with a new meditation journey, but in the meantime, meet me in the comments on YouTube and please let me know how it went for you!
